Our Story

Family-run, coast-raised, coffee-obsessed

Coastal Café started as a single espresso machine on a Burleigh Heads verandah, pouring flat whites for surfers on their way in from the water. A decade on, we're still doing mornings the same unhurried way — good coffee, honest food, and a room that smells like fresh bread and sea salt.

"We roast small batches a few streets from here, and change the menu with what's in season. It's café food the way we'd want to eat it ourselves."

Everything on the menu is made in-house each morning, from the granola to the sourdough. We work with growers and roasters across South East Queensland wherever we can, because it tastes better and it keeps things close to home.
