Refunds & Cancellations
Last updated: 9 September 2026
We do not take payments online. Every project starts with a written proposal, and payment terms are set out in that proposal before any work begins.
How our projects work
You send us an enquiry, we discuss what you need, and we send you a written proposal that sets out the scope of work and the agreed price. Nothing is charged until you have accepted that proposal in writing.
Payment terms. Once you accept the proposal we invoice a 50% deposit to begin work. The remaining 50% is invoiced once you have approved the final preview, and is payable before your site goes live. Domain registration and other third-party costs are invoiced separately, at cost, with your approval.
Cancelling before work begins
If you accept a proposal and then change your mind before we have started work, contact us and we will cancel the project. Your deposit is refunded in full, less any third-party costs already incurred with your approval (for example a domain registration).
Cancelling after work has begun
If you cancel once work is under way, any refund of the deposit will take into account the work already completed and any non-refundable third-party costs already incurred with your approval. We will explain the calculation to you in writing. Work completed up to the point of cancellation is chargeable, and the final 50% is not invoiced. If the work already completed exceeds the deposit, we will discuss the balance with you before invoicing anything further.
If you are not happy with the design
You review a private preview of your site before it goes live, and revisions within the agreed scope are included — we keep working on the draft until it reflects what was agreed in the proposal. If we cannot deliver what the proposal describes, contact us and we will discuss an appropriate remedy, which may include a refund of the amount paid for that work.
Additional work
Work outside the scope of the accepted proposal — extra pages, additional support time, custom features or further changes after approval — is quoted and agreed separately. Once that additional work has been provided, the amount charged for it is not refundable.
Hosting and maintenance subscriptions
You may cancel a recurring service at any time by emailing us. Cancellation applies from the end of the current paid billing period unless otherwise agreed. Fees already paid for an active billing period are generally not refundable, except where required by law.
Domains and third-party costs
Domain registrations, licences and other third-party purchases are often non-refundable once ordered. We will identify these costs and obtain your approval before purchasing them on your behalf.
Problems with a service
If a service is not supplied as agreed, contact us so we can investigate and offer an appropriate remedy.
Australian Consumer Law
This policy is provided in addition to any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
